Better Basics: eco-lifestyle brand
OBJECTIVE
Sam is the Co-founder and CEO of Better Basics. As a startup, Sam has developed the business, brand and marketing strategy to bring the brand to life and grow its performance.
After researching the sustainable and eco-friendly consumer landscape, Sam identified the market need for a more stylish, convenient and high quality products. She identified the benefit of an e-commerce platform to deliver at-home bulk refills, along with reusable products to replace the biggest on-the-go and kitchen plastic offenders: water bottles, coffee cups, plastic bags and containers. Better Basics is designed with simple swaps and refills that help reduce waste. Better Basics’ business model focuses on direct-to-consumer e-commerce with a subscription program to enhance customer loyalty and convenience, along with a growth strategy that includes strategic retail and brand partnerships.
Sam has been responsible for the launch and growth strategy of Better Basics, including overseeing the brand development, logo, photo and video shoots, website development, social media and email channels. She worked with a team of expert designers, copywriters, photo and video editors at Monday Creative, Bodega Creative, Shopwell Design, Spencer Watson and Magnafire Media to bring the brand to life.
